Job Description

Fort Hays State University (FHSU) Department of Nursing, as part of the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences (CHBS), is seeking a full-time, nine-month nursing faculty for undergraduate studies to commence in August 2026. The Department of Nursing serves undergraduate students in a traditional on-campus BSN program, Hybrid BSN program and a virtual RN to BSN program. The position serves in the role of Assistant Professor and will teach and participate in service to equal a full-time load in the department. This is an on-campus position and is responsible for in classroom lecturing, attending undergraduate clinicals, and teaching online courses. Travel for recruiting may be required.

Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must hold a MSN degree. The candidate must have an RN license (Kansas or eligible).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Teaching experience in nursing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills
